Anastasia Moreyne – Portrait Artist
As a portrait Artist, from an early age I have been fascinated with figurative drawing and painting. My passion for art pushed me to study Fine Arts at John Abbott College, and obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University.
I draw my influences from everyday human experiences and I am constantly inspired through my observation of individuals and how they live their daily routines. I try to capture these inspirations in my large scale, close up contemporary portraits, with florescent accents of color to engage the viewer with a sense of intrigue, emotional thrill, drama, and intimacy. I prefer to paint contemporary icons with acrylics on canvas, and my ideas constantly evolve with every painting.
